NY Times Story: "Istanbul Yields a Treasure"


Archaeologists discovered a harbor town dating from the second century and the remains of a 5th century Byzantine church. The discovery is a big deal and some say it has the potential to become "the library of Constantinople." The story might add a bit of relevancy to our study of the Byzantine Empire.
